The quote above pretty much sums up my feelings about helping you improve your writing.  I encourage you to evaluate what I say (and what anyone says) about your work, to decide if it makes sense to you.

Any suggestions that discourage you are bad suggestions.  Ignore them.  

 

My goal is to help you achieve your goal.  If you are not sure what your goal is, that's fine also.

Writing is often the process of discovering what we want to write about!

 

If anyone tells you you have to know in advance, they are wrong.  Creative writing often opens floodgates of feelings and memories.  Never stop the flood because you are not sure where it will lead.

I promise that you won't hear the usual nonsense about having to write every day, or that you must make an outline, or that you must know your ending before you start.  I've heard all that and more and all it did was stop me from writing.

I can also help you tackle the emotional landscape that writing confronts us with.  There are some high highs and low lows.  There are potential stumbling blocks when creating something.  I know them all and can help you overcome them.
